Who I am...
Every day, we borrow moments in time. When my daughter was born, I could spend hours getting lost in her blue, blue eyes. I would revel in all of her "babyness": the way her hair smelled, her gummy smile, her chubby little feet, her tiny, perfect nails. And people said, "Time will pass faster now that you have a child." I didn't believe them—I was exhausted as a new mom. How fast could time possibly fly when I couldn't even remember what day it was! Before I knew it, my baby graduated from 8th grade. Someone said, "Hold on, those high school years will fly by." I still didn't believe them. How fast could time fly by when I was always on the go: driving her to cheer practice, helping with homework, and working full-time! And then, I found myself sitting at her final high school choir concert, wondering, "Where did the time go???!!!" Now I have a granddaughter and every time I see her, she is growing and changing—and time keeps flying by, regardless of how much we may want it to slow down.
